I'd like to take the credit but I have to admit that Dana was my catalyst when it comes to living a greener lifestyle. It started about 2 years ago when we began talking about food. I had always thought that there were too many chemicals in our food but I had not made any major changes to avoid them. At first it overwhelmed me. I wanted to go home and throw out anything in my cupboards that came out of a package, but lets be honest I would have been left with some fruit and veggies. So I began slowly. I started buying organic produce and beef from a local farmer. I attended the local farmers market almost every week and bought local produce and honey etc. I then began the overhaul on my beauty products. My shampoo and conditioner, then my lotion, then my deodorant, then my face cream etc. It hurt a little to buy more expensive products and then go home and throw away my other half used ones but can you put a price on health? I have found the overhaul to be a very "one day at a time" kinda thing. So all you out there thinking "Where do I start?", dont worry I felt the same way. Choose one product a week and try to replace it. That way you arent spending $100 in one shot and go scope out the organic section of your grocery store. Many grocery stores are expanding their organic sections and you'll be amazed what you can find. I still have a long way to go when it comes to overhauling my food but step by step I will get there.

The other part of "greening" my life that I am proud of is recycling and composting. I am an avid believer in both and am going to blog about this soon! More to come.
As far as who I am, well I am 23, married, and an LPN student. I have no children, but I do have a puggle that I love very much! I enjoy cooking and baking (and eating!), music, singing, camping, travelling, renovating/painting, taking my dog for walks and hanging out with friends.
And thats my story!
